Job Title: Assistant Director of Digital Marketing

Location: York, PA

Position Summary:

The Assistant Director of Digital Marketing is a vital member of the Institutional and Enrollment Marketing team at York College of Pennsylvania, reporting directly to the Director of Digital Marketing. This role focuses on managing the College’s official social media accounts and website, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with institutional strategies and brand guidelines.

The Assistant Director contributes to strategic storytelling, social listening/monitoring, and content creation to support the College’s mission and engage key audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Creation and Storytelling (40%)
    • Develop and write content for the College’s digital platforms.
    • Execute strategic storytelling initiatives to align with the College’s mission and objectives.
    • Produce content marketing materials that enhance brand awareness.
  2. Website Content Management (25%)
    • Maintain accurate and timely updates for the front-facing website.
    • Review and publish submitted edits, ensuring consistency with institutional strategy and brand guidelines.
  3. Social Media Management (25%)
    • Plan and manage a consistent, high-quality content schedule for institutional social media accounts.
    • Ensure all social media communications align with the College’s brand and strategic objectives.
  4. Digital Strategy Implementation (10%)
    • Collaborate with the Director of Digital Marketing to develop and execute cohesive digital marketing strategies that align with institutional goals.

Desired Outcomes:

  • Enhance overall brand awareness for York College.
  • Engage key audiences, including prospective students, current students, alumni, employees, and supporters of the College.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Communication, Marketing, English).
  • 2–4 years of experience managing brand-level social media and content creation.
  • 2–4 years of experience in short- and long-form content creation, including written and visual media.
